The presenters will provide an update of Minnesota Legislation, passed in the 2009 session, which impacts the Probate & Trust law practice. They will also address proposals expected for the 2010 Spring Legislative session, and proposals under consideration for future passage. Legislation recently enacted includes: a new Disclaimer Act, changes to the Collection of Personal Property by Affidavit, adoption of the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act, and Ombudsman's changes to the guardianship/conservatorship sections of our statutes.
