Welcome to the New Lawyers Section website. Thanks for visiting. This website is maintained by the MSBA and contains information about the New Lawyers Section, including contact information for active members. If you have any questions about the site, or would like to make any additions or corrections, please contact the Section Chair. What is the New Lawyers Section?The MSBA New Lawyers Section is comprised of attorneys who were admitted to practice within the past six years or who are less than 36 years of age. The Section's efforts focus on professional development, community outreach, and networking. MissionTo represent and promote involvement of new lawyers in the MSBA through organizational, educational, and networking opportunities. GoalsTo expand and increase the membership, participation, and communication of new lawyers in the New Lawyers Section; to develop additional New Lawyers Section affiliates in outstate areas and encourage more statewide participation; and to develop and effectuate specific, substantial benefits to New Lawyers Section members, including development of a referral network/directory offering assistance with career opportunities, and improving the New Lawyers section website and list serve.
