ADJOURN BUSINESS MEETING
"What Every Family Lawyer Needs to Know About ART Law"Infertility is on the rise, and there are literally thousands of Minnesotans trying to have children through new, cutting edge medical procedures every year. These procedures leave the intended parents with stored sperm, eggs, and/or embryos that may constitute "property" when these parents often divorce. What questions must you be asking prospective clients, and what issues must you address in their divorces in order to avoid malpractice and adequately protect your client from unexpected financial obligations and, potentially, newborn children? This presentation will address these and other issues that will make it clear that EVERY family lawyer now has to have a basic working knowledge of Assisted Reproduction.
