Neutrals - Guardians, Child Specialists (CLI), Expeditors, Custody/Parenting Time Evaluators/Coaches and Consultants: What Does Your Case Require?
Judy Sherwood, MA, LMFT, LPC, MBA will discuss the many different specialists and the benefits and risks with the involvement of outside professionals. She will sort out the options available -- Guardian ad Litem, Custody/Parenting Time Evaluator, Parenting Consultant or Coach, Mediator, Parenting Time Expeditor, Child Specialist (Collaborative Law) -- and answer your questions. She will discuss the practical considerations to keep in mind with the appointment of any child specialist: limits on authority (legal and practical), confidentiality, and the cost to the family.
