News and Views The ENRE section members are looking forward to the 2013 Minnesota Environmental Institute on April 17, 2013. Law School Writing Competition The ENRE section has wrapped up another successful year and is looking forward to the 2012-13 term with the newly elected council. The MSBA Environmental, Natural Resources and Energy Section presented its annual Update from Minnesota’s Regulatory Agencies on November 14, 2012. Leonard Street & Deinard hosted the event, at which top state agency officials provided their perspectives on current and upcoming environmental, natural resource and energy issues in Minnesota. Over seventy attorneys attended to hear from Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Commissioner John Linc Stine, Department of Agriculture Commissioner David Frederickson, Department of Natural Resources Commissioner Tom Landwehr, Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources Executive Director John Jaschke, and Ellen Anderson, Senior Advisor to the Governor on Energy & Environment. Recap of ENRE Law Student & New Lawyer Pizza Reception on October 16, 2012 Many students and lawyers attended this October 16th event, which provided Minnesota law students with an opportunity to connect with local environmental, natural resources and energy lawyers. The section extends its thanks to Dorsey & Whitney for hosting the event and to section liaison Molly Malone for coordinating it. As noted at the event, the ENRE Section encourages students to join us as section members, attend our upcoming CLEs, and act as contributing writers for our website.
