"Equine Land Use Issues"Allison F. Eklund is a Twin Cities attorney whose law practice, Eklund Law, PC, focuses on equine business law and public policy. As government relations attorney for the Minnesota Horse Council, she was instrumental in passing legislation to preserve agricultural property tax classification for equestrian property. In 2009 she volunteered to help create the new Minnesota Stables Owners Association to help unify and educate horse boarding business owners and promote understanding of the importance of horses in agriculture. Ms. Eklund represents equine businesses and landowners in a wide variety of matters, from tax appeals and zoning issues to general litigation and estate planning.
