The MSBA Alternative Dispute Resolution Section Presents
"The Pros and Cons of Arbitration"
The “Arbitration Fairness Act of 2009,” which is pending in the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law, would amend Chapter 1 of Title 9 of United States Code (The Federal Arbitration Act) by banning mandatory pre-dispute arbitration clauses in consumer, employment and franchise agreements nationally. Join four prominent legal experts and the ADR Section for an enlightening panel discussion about the pros and cons of arbitration in 2010. Each of the panelists has had significant experience as an arbitrator and/or advocate in a specific practice area where binding pre-dispute arbitration clauses are prevalent - employment, commercial, franchise, and consumer law.
