John Harens - John Harens practiced in commercial litigation at Moore, Costello & Hart for over 25 years. He had a particular emphasis in construction contracting and claims, insurance litigation, and complex multi-party litigation. In the last 15 years of his practice, he has also developed an extensive ADR practice, serving in over 2,000 cases. Most of those cases have involved multi-party disputes and he has developed mediation skills, including blind mediation techniques, to facilitate these types of cases. He has written and spoken on numerous occasions about ADR in general and the “blind” approach that is the subject of this presentation.
