MSBA Foundation awards $14,000 in grants

The Minnesota State Bar Foundation met on June 29, 2012 and awarded the following seven organizations with grants totaling $14,000.00:

Rivers of Hope - $ 2000
Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota - $3000
Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers - $3500
Mid-Minnesota Legal Assistance - $1500
Minnesota AIDS Project - $1500
Legal Assistance of Olmsted County - $1500
Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women - $1000.

The MSBA Foundation exists for the express purpose of providing monetary grants to community and bar law-related programs and activities. Areas of emphasis include legal assistance to the disadvantaged, improvements in the administration of justice, and law-related education.
