Travel Scholarship
|
 |
Travel scholarships are granted to qualified
Japanese-English bilingual undergraduate, graduate students
and experienced professionals to help defray the costs of attending
the Career Forum. Only limited number of applicants can receive
the scholarship, but in the past, many candidates who did not
receive a scholarship have come to the Career Forum on their
own expenses and successfully landed a job. Below is an estimate
of the maximum amount you may receive if you are selected as
a travel scholarship recipient. The amount is determined by
the state you reside during the school year, or the state where
you currently reside, if you have already graduated.
Please read the information below carefully before you apply.

The application for the Travel Scholarship has closed. The New York Career Forum is a great opportunity to meet and interview with companies all in once. Many candidates travel from the west coast and as far away as Europe and Japan to attend the Career Forum without a travel scholarship. Don't miss this rare event to explore your career opportunities!
|
We will only contact those candidates whom we have selected as travel scholarship candidates. Candidates who do not receive an email notification via MyCFN Inbox by January 30th, 2009, unfortunately were not selected for this year's scholarship. Given the availability of many career opportunities at the Forum, we strongly encourage you to attend the Forum even without the scholarship.
The travel scholarship will be awarded after 2:00 PM of the second day of the Career Forum. To receive the scholarship, qualified participants must attend the Forum two days and present the registration name badge and a valid ID (e.g. driver's license, student ID or passport). If your ID does not reflect your current address registered to CFN, please make sure to bring another document that proves your current address (e.g. utility bill, mail).
* The travel scholarship will only be awarded at the Career Forum from the afternoon of the second day. Due to security reasons, under NO circumstances can we award the scholarship before or after the Career Forum. Please plan your trip accordingly.
** Other forms of compensation, such as hotel coupons, may be awarded in place of cash awards. |
