A lounge to prepare for interviews as well as to converse and network with other candidates will be available at the event. Check for the location of the candidates' lounge on the day of the event.
At the Career ForumCounseling Corner
DISCO International staff will answer your questions about job searching. Visit the Headquarter on the day of the event to reserve a time slot (30 minutes).

At the Career ForumJapanese Lunch Boxes for Purchase
If you are too busy with interviews to go out to buy lunch or it's too cold to go out, vendor selling Japanese bread and bento (lunch boxes) will be available during lunchtime. Grab some lunch to ensure you have plenty of energy in the afternoon to continue meeting with companies.

The sixth annual New York Career Forum will be held this winter! Global companies will be actively looking for Japanese-English bilinguals who have gained numerous professional skills and knowledge through your education and/or careers. For seniors and second-year graduate students who want to find a job before graduation, juniors and first-year graduate students looking for a summer internship, and working professionals looking for a career change or advancement, come find it at the New York Career Forum.

*Because the Career Forum is a job fair event, business attire is required for all Career Forum participants. Casual attire such as jeans, t-shirts and sneakers are not permitted at the event.

Qualifications to Participate

Japanese-English bilingual (at minimum conversational level in Japanese and English) and one of the following:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's or Ph.D. program outside of Japan
  • Graduated from a bachelor's, master's or Ph.D. program outside of Japan
  • Student from Japan currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate exchange program
  • Working professionals
  • Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and first-year graduate students are welcome to attend for internship opportunities and to learn more about the companies
