Who should join?
Any member of the MSBA who is committed to advancing and advocating for the interests of women in the legal profession is encouraged to join this committee. We work to build a foundation for women to achieve success and satisfaction in their professional lives within the legal profession. We are looking to increase membership from corporate, government and small firm employers in particular, including membership in greater Minnesota and among non-attorney MSBA members.

• The Massachusetts Equality Commission's Women Lawyers and Obstacles to Leadership Report

At the same time, it dispels the myth that
  women are leaving law firms to stay at home by tracing their departures to workplace destinations that recognize family needs.

• The Chicago Bar Association's Alliance for Women http://www.chicagobar.org/calltoaction/ asks all Chicago law firms to join its
  “Call to Action” project to help promote women's leadership in the legal profession.

• The San Francisco Bar Association's No Glass Ceiling Initiative http://www.sfbar.org/diversity/no_glass_ceiling.aspx was formed in 2001
  to increase opportunities for women to serve in leadership positions within the legal profession in the San Francisco Bay Area.
